Choosing a Golf Simulator Package: What Is Included and Where It Fits
Most listings in this collection are complete simulator packages rather than individual components, but the collection also holds a small number of trim and upgrade listings that are not complete systems. Check which kind of listing you are viewing before you order, then compare packages on the three things that differ most: the launch monitor included, what the ball stops against, and how much of the rest of the system comes with it.
Start with the launch monitor
Most packages here are built around a specific launch monitor, and the listing names it. Those monitors come from several different manufacturers, so compare the named monitor rather than assuming that two packages at a similar price measure the same way or run the same software.
Then the hitting surface
Packages here use different hitting surfaces. Some are built around a full enclosure, some around a practice net, and some around a retractable screen that stows away when you are finished. Garage and studio configurations are listed separately because they assume different rooms.
Check what else is in the box
Packages vary in whether they include a projector, a simulator computer, a hitting mat, or trim and finishing components. The included-components section on each product page is what governs, and it is also where a trim or upgrade listing will show that it is not a complete system.
Before you order, confirm
- Whether the listing is a complete package or a trim or upgrade item
- Which launch monitor is included, and which software it works with
- Whether a projector and a computer are included, or expected from you
- Whether the hitting surface is an enclosure, a net, or a retractable screen
- The manufacturer's stated space and clearance requirements for that configuration
If you are unsure which package suits your room, contact ProSimHQ before ordering. We can help you compare the included components, the hitting surfaces, and the manufacturer information shown for the packages you are considering.
