The Honeycomb Alpha Flight Controls Lite is a streamlined version of Honeycomb's Alpha yoke for simmers starting out. Honeycomb describes it as keeping the same build quality with fewer switches and a simpler design. The full Alpha adds a switch panel, ignition and more advanced features.
The yoke rotates 180° with a self-centering mechanism and what Honeycomb calls a minimal dead zone. It is built around a solid steel shaft, linear ball bearings and a fiberglass-reinforced structure. The handles carry a POV switch, 2 rocker switches and 4 programmable buttons, and it connects over USB-C to USB-A.
The Alpha Lite suits a first yoke purchase: a full 180° of rotation and a steel shaft, with only the essential switches on the handles. You can start flying with the yoke alone and add a throttle or rudder pedals later.
