The Thrustmaster MFD Cougar Pack is a pair of USB-interfaced multifunction display (MFD) panels engineered for high-fidelity combat and space simulation on Windows PC.
Modeled after the F-16 block flight controls, each panel features 20 programmable buttons and 4 switches, totaling 48 independent inputs across the pack. Designed to facilitate tactile cockpit management, these units reduce reliance on keyboard-based commands for weapon selection, radar modes, and navigation. Each panel includes integrated backlighting with adjustable intensity and a weighted, multi-position base for versatile mounting.
Programmable Input & Control Layout
- Dual-Unit System: Includes two identical MFD panels, providing symmetrical controls for pilot and co-pilot or dual-screen displays.
- OSB (Option Selection Button) Layout: Each unit features 20 buttons and 4 toggle switches positioned around the perimeter of the frame.
- Visual Customization: Includes 2 plexiglass window inserts and 3 cardboard decals per panel for manual cockpit labeling and identification.
- Backlighting: Features green LED backlighting with software-adjustable intensity for operation in low-light environments.
Modular Mounting & Stability
- Weighted Bases: Each unit is supported by a heavy-duty, non-slip base for desktop stability.
- Adjustable Tilt: The base allows for the panels to be angled vertically to suit different line-of-sight requirements.
- Integrated Mounting: Bases can be removed to allow for direct screw-mounting into custom cockpit builds or sim-rig frames.
- Connectivity: Dual independent USB connections ensure each MFD is recognized as a separate HID device for easy mapping.
