The Honeycomb Echo Aviation Controller puts pitch, roll, rudder, trim, throttle, flaps and landing gear into one handheld controller. Honeycomb designed it for Microsoft Flight Simulator and describes it as carrying the core functions of its Alpha yoke, Bravo Throttle and Charlie Rudder Pedals, with no pedals, desk mounts or sim rig required.
A 16-bit Hall-Effect thumbstick handles pitch and roll, mechanically linked Hall-Effect rudder pedals handle yaw, and four detented sliders cover throttle, flaps and speed brake. It connects through the included 2.4 GHz wireless dongle or a USB-C cable, and Honeycomb rates the integrated 1200 mAh battery at up to 15 hours of flight time.
Echo suits pilots who want real flight inputs (rudder, trim, throttle, flaps, gear) without clamping a yoke, quadrant and pedals to a desk. The travel case and wireless dongle make it easy to pack away between sessions or take with you.
The tradeoff is scale. A thumbstick and compact sliders do the jobs of a yoke, a throttle quadrant and floor pedals in one hand-sized unit. If you are building a permanent home cockpit, full-size controls will feel closer to the aircraft.
