The TCA Yoke Boeing Edition is Thrustmaster's 1:1-scale ergonomic replica of a yoke inspired by the Boeing 787, produced under license from Boeing and officially licensed for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. It is also compatible with PC (Windows 10/11).
Thrustmaster's suspended PENDUL_R mechanism replicates the feel of a floor-mounted pendular yoke, with 8.3 in / 21 cm of travel. The yoke has 18 action buttons, 6 axes, an 8-way "point of view" hat switch, a mini-stick controller and a landing gear control, and its base carries two throttle axes, so you can take off without a separate throttle quadrant.
In ProSimHQ's opinion, this yoke suits Xbox and PC pilots who mainly fly Boeing airliners and want the pendular motion of a floor-mounted yoke. Because the two throttle axes are built into the base, it can be your only flight control at first, with the TCA Quadrant Boeing Edition and rudder pedals added later.
The tradeoff is size and weight. Thrustmaster lists it at 14.8 lb / 6,700 g, and the base must be firmly attached: its clamps fit a table or desk 0.6–2.17 in / 15–55 mm thick, or you can bolt it to a cockpit with M6 screws. It also works with a specific ecosystem: Thrustmaster's manual names the TCA Quadrant Boeing Edition and the TPR and TFRP rudder pedals as the only compatible add-on devices, although on PC its T.A.R.G.E.T software can also combine the yoke with some other Thrustmaster joysticks.
The suspended mechanism replicates a floor-mounted pendular yoke, like those in Boeing airliners.
Thrustmaster lists a long range of travel for the yoke.
For sturdiness and balanced weight distribution of the controls.
The 6 axes include roll and pitch on the yoke and two throttle axes on the base.
With an 8-way "point of view" hat switch and a mini-stick controller with button.
The yoke also has an Xbox button with LED and View, Share and Menu buttons.
You can change the number of springs at the base of the yoke's column to set the resistance on the pitch axis. The manual lists 3 springs as the default (medium resistance) and 4 springs for maximum resistance, and one additional spring is included in the box.
A throttle and a rudder can be connected directly at the back of the yoke, and a second throttle can be connected at the back of the TCA Quadrant Boeing Edition, giving the yoke access to up to 9 additional axes.
Connects to the yoke's USB type-A port. Sold separately.
Connect to the yoke's RJ12 port. Sold separately.
Connect to the yoke, or to the quadrant if it is already connected. Sold separately.
Dual metal mounting screws clamp a table or desk 0.6–2.17 in / 15–55 mm thick.
Two perforations underneath accept M6 screws (not included) for a cockpit or other stationary support.
Thrustmaster forbids attaching the yoke to a glass table or desk.
Officially licensed for Xbox. Compatible only with games that support Flight Stick mode.
Set the USB selector switch on the base to the PC position when using it on PC.
Fly with a Boeing-licensed, 787-inspired pendular yoke.
Officially licensed for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One.
Start with the yoke's own throttle axes and add a quadrant and rudder later.
