1. Lens Selection & Throw Distance

• The LU9800 does not include a lens by default — you’ll need to choose an optional lens based on your simulator setup:

  • Ultra-Short Throw (UST 0.38:1) → For small rooms or placing the projector very close to the impact screen.

  • Short Throw (0.77–1.1:1) → Works well in medium-sized rooms, especially where mounting distance is limited.

  • Standard / Long Throw → Suitable for larger simulator bays or ceiling mounts further back.

• Use BenQ’s throw distance calculator to confirm the correct lens for your impact screen size and projector mount distance.

2. Mounting Height & Alignment

• The LU9800 allows vertical lens shift up to +55% and horizontal ±10% (depending on lens), giving you flexibility to mount off-center or higher up on the ceiling without heavy keystone correction.

• Always prioritize lens shift over digital keystone to preserve image clarity.

• For golf simulators, aim to place the projector behind and above the golfer to eliminate shadows and avoid swing path interference.

3. Power & Heat Management
