The VIRPIL WarBRD-D CADET H.O.T.A.S Bundle — ALPHA Prime Edition is a complete stick-and-throttle setup: the WarBRD-D flightstick base, the right-hand Constellation ALPHA Prime metal grip, and the CDT-VMAX throttle from VIRPIL's CADET series.
VIRPIL positions the CADET series as focusing on the essential elements of aircraft control in a small-form-factor design, suited to new pilots, advanced pilots looking to save space, and VR pilots.
Special order. This product is factory-allocated by VIRPIL Controls, with an estimated total delivery timeframe of 27–60 business days.
This is the bundle that gets a pilot flying without assembling a parts list. Base, grip and throttle arrive together, and VIRPIL positions the CADET series around the essential elements of aircraft control in a small-form-factor design.
The one thing to plan for is mounting. Unlike the H.O.S.A.S bundle, no desk mounts or adapters are supplied, so a desk-mounted installation needs a separate VIRPIL mount and the correct adapter.
VIRPIL describes the clutch range:
for fast, raw inputs.
prevents centering oscillations and assists steady aim.
keeps the stick from returning to centre.
14-bit native resolution with 0.02° angle detection, on a dual-cam-per-axis gimbal in aircraft-grade duralumin.
Premium, lightweight metal grip body with a textured surface. The control set:
can be pressed simultaneously as a combined trigger for additional stages.
1 ×, with push.
3 × 4-way hats with push, and 1 × 2-way hat with push.
3 ×.
on a VPC Contactless Sensor, plus a momentary button.
1 ×, with dual push.
on a VPC Contactless Sensor.
with programmable RGB lighting.
Metal throttle axis mechanics with VPC Contactless Digital Proximity Sensors. The control set:
2 × throttle axis and 1 × auxiliary axis.
4 ×.
3 × 4-way hats with push.
1 ×, with push.
2 ×, with push.

two standard pre-installed, two heavy and two extra-heavy.
sixteen across AviaSim and CosmoSim profiles, in no-centre and soft-centre variants.
The WarBRD-D base accepts a wide range of VIRPIL grips, so the stick can be changed without replacing the base:
WarBRD Grip, V.F.X Grip, MongoosT-50 Series Grips, FLNKR Grip.
Constellation ALPHA Series Grips and the Constellation DELTA Grip.
SharKa-50 Grip, Hawk-60 Grip, Dual-SF Grip.
Warthog, F/A-18C and Cougar Grips.
this CADET bundle includes the CDT-VMAX Throttle. It does not include the MongoosT-50CM3 Throttle.
unlike the WarBRD-D H.O.S.A.S Bundle, this bundle contains no desk mounts or mount adapters.
VIRPIL positions the CADET series around the essential elements of aircraft control.
A small-form-factor design for pilots looking to save space.
VIRPIL lists VR pilots among the intended users of the CADET series.
A CosmoSim detent plate is supplied, so the detent profile can be changed.
Six springs, sixteen cams and a CosmoSim detent plate are supplied.
The WarBRD-D base accepts a wide range of VIRPIL grips.
Both bundles use the same WarBRD-D base and the same ALPHA Prime grip family. They differ in what the second hand does, and in whether desk mounts are supplied.
Two flightsticks, a matched left and right ALPHA Prime pair, and two V4-S desk mounts with adapters included. View the H.O.S.A.S Bundle.
One flightstick plus the CDT-VMAX throttle. Desk mounts are not included. View the CADET Bundle.
